An imperative sentence is a command or instruction. When converted to passive voice, the standard form is Let + object + be + V3. Example: “Clean the board” becomes “Let the board be cleaned.” Negative imperatives follow Let + object + not + be + V3. Example: “Do not touch the wire” becomes “Let the wire not be touched.” This structure is uniquely different from all other passive constructions and is a favourite exam question type.
